Laser hair removal can work for all skin types and hair colours (with the exception of light grey hair). Helen will conduct the treatment on a test patch to determine your suitability and estimate how many treatments you will need.
A light-based laser targets and destroys hair follicles without harming surrounding skin. The laser only works on hair follicles in the active phase of growth so several treatments are needed to achieve best results. You do not need to let the hair grow out between treatment sessions.
Most people feel a slight snap, similar to the light snapping of an elastic, on the treatment area. An ice cooling roller can also be applied to numb the area.
Clients may experience a mild, sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor swelling, immediately following the treatment. This usually lasts two to 24 hours.
